WHAT DO ROAMING REPTILES DO AT A PRESENTATION?

  • We turn up 15-20 min before the presentations starts, to set up.
  • We need a space inside about 4-5metres square.
  • We bring picnic rugs for children to sit on.
  • We set up viewing box. see picture (Just in case anyone feels a bit apprehensive about the animals.)
  • The children assist directly with the presentation by carrying animals around for their peers to touch.

SCHOOL, PRE-SCHOOLS AND KINDER PROGRAMS AVAILABLE

LIVE REPTILES AT YOUR SCHOOL Age range - Pre-school - Adult

This one hour program is to introduce your students to our scaly Australian animals.

We bring:

  • 2 species of Lizards - (Baby lizards hatch throughout the year)
  • Snakes - pythons from 25cm - 2.5m (Baby snakes hatch throughout the year)
  • Turtles
  • Crocodile

The students see, touch and smell our lovely reptilian friends.


ANIMALS WITH ATTITUDE Age range - Grade 3 - Yr 10

This is a one hour program for challenging students. We aim to impress even the toughest critics.
These animals have nearly as much attitude as your year 8 and 9 students.
(2 sessions minimum booking, Ask about our $1 bonus offer)

We bring:

  • Bearded Dragons
  • Scorpions
  • Red-back spiders
  • Tarantula (Bird eating spider)
  • Giant Cockroaches
  • Snakes - small, medium, large and "Are you for real?" size. Ask about our snake feeding option.
  • Crocodile

WHAT'S SAFE IN MY GARDEN? Age range - Pre-school - Grade 4

This one hour presentation is great for students to explore the differences between critters they can and can't touch.

We bring:

  • A lizard
  • Beetles
  • Scorpions
  • Stick Insects
  • Red-back spiders
  • Tarantulas (Bird Eating Spider)
  • Giant Cockroaches


See the insects in magnifying viewers. Your budding 'scientists' will love getting up close and personal with the creatures.

WHAT DO WE HAVE TO HAVE READY FOR A PRESENTATION?

  • Keen group of children - pre-school to adult
  • We don't need chairs (except for secondary students and adults)
  • A sink or bucket of warm soapy water for everyone to wash their hands after the presentation.

Which parts of Australia do Roaming Reptiles cover?

At this stage Roaming Reptiles covers all of Victoria only, with a view to covering other states in the future.

Monday - Sunday and some Public Holidays (no extra for weekends or Public Holidays)

HOW FAR DOES ROAMING REPTILES TRAVEL?

We visit Geelong & the surrounding areas with our unqiue Reptile Display.
Outside Geelong there will be additional travel fee.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO PRESENTORS HAVE?

 

  • Wildlife Demonstrators License #12580228-DE From the Department of Sustainability and Environment
  • $20 million Full Public Liability Insurance
  • All presenters have had a Police Check and Working with Children Check
  • Snake, Crocodile and children handling experience
